Neva Ritter, (1895 - 1968) the first child of Christopher Sharp and Harriet Ann
Welker Ritter, was born on January 19, 1895 in Iola, Kansas. She was one
of the few women who attended college, and got a degree in Botany from the
University of Kansas. She worked as a bacteriologist for the Urban .League
in Kansas City, testing for the presence of e. coli in milk. She also
wrote a cooking column for the Kansas City Star.
She married Rudolph Andrew Posch on January 14, 1927 in Kansas City;
Missouri( d, 3/28/1982)
They lived and worked on Bannister Road, Kansas City, Missouri.
Neva died on December 31, 1968 and is buried at Mount Moriah Cemetery (creamated),
in Kansas City, Missouri.
