Harriet Ann and Christopher Sharp Ritter, children of Hartien Sharp and Charlotte Burtnett Ritter were born in Akron, Ohio and lived at 230 Grand Avenue until 1960.

They both attended Rankin Elementary School on Whittier Avenue in Akron.  Chris attended Case Elementary School and Harriet, Fairlawn Elementary.  They both attended Litchfield Junior High School and graduated from Firestone High School. 

Harriet attended the University of Kansas from 1968 - 1972, with a degree in Music Education-Music Therapy.  She served her internship in 1973 in Music Therapy at Milwaukee County Mental Health Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  From 1973 - 1975, she worked as Director of Music Therapy at St. Joseph State Hospital in St. Joseph, Missouri.  From 9175-1980 she worked as a Music Therapist at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, Waukesha, Wisconsin.  She moved to Prospect Av. and Lafayette in Milwaukee, and married Barry Abram Burd on February 29, 1980.  They moved to Madison, N.J. in May, 1980.

Harriet attended classes at Drew University and the County College or Morris, and worked in computer operations for Sandoz, later Novartis, from 1984 to 1998.

Chris attended Kent State University from 1972 - ? majoring in art.  He later worked for his uncle Chris Ritter at his gallery, Pinetree Designs, in Ogunquit, Maine.  He later owned his own frame business in Ogunquit.

Chris also worked in the art business in Pittsburgh, Cincinnatti, Washington, D.C. (Archival Art Services),
and for Bark Frameworks in Long Island City, New York.

He was married to Judith DeHart until 19??.  He married Janet Freda Casella in 200? and lives in Madison, New Jersey.
