Charlotte Eloise Ritter was born on June 21, 1918.  She met Butch Ritter when they were in Junior High School, and they began dating in High School.  She and Butch attended Allen County Junior College, and Charlotte went on to study at the University of Nebraska, while Butch attended the University of Kansas.

They married on June 21, 1941, and moved to Quincy, Illinois.  She worked as a company librarian at Western Cartridge Company at the same time Butch worked there as a chemist.

They moved to Akron, Ohio in 1949 and had two children, Harriet  Ann(1950) and Christopher Sharp (1954). 

Charlotte worked at genealogy all her life.  She joined the Daughters of the American Revolution, and was active at Westminster Presbyterian Church, serving as a deaconess.  She also belonged to the Akron Garden Club, and pursued  many other interests.

Charlotte passed away on her 78th birthday and their 55th anniversary, on June 21, 1996.
